Bypass like library that could do non-HTTP protocol?

I am in need of a library just like bypass but that can be used for protocols other than HTTP (in my case it is a custom protocol over TCP). Is there such thing already? I can roll my own for sure but I am tight on time ATM and would prefer to use a package. Does anyone know if such thing exists?
