Qualifications or experience required:

  • Experience developing with Elixir and the Phoenix framework
  • Strong knowledge of backend technologies (Elixir, Phoenix, PostgreSQL, REST APIs)
  • Experience with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TailwindCSS, HEEx, LiveView)
  • Confident in using Git, CI/CD and basic DevOps workflows
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and readable code
  • Awareness of accessibility and performance best practices
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative, cross-functional team
  • Willingness to contribute to software architecture and long-term project decisions
  • Openness to occasional, compensated on-call duty
  • Nice to have: experience with PHP, Laravel, Statamic, Terraform, Docker, or Azure

What the successful job applicant will be working on:

  • Developing and continually improving a large web project using Elixir and Phoenix
  • Implementing server-side features and detailed user interfaces
  • Building and working with APIs and other integrations
  • Collaborating closely with developers, designers, and project stakeholders
  • Maintaining and updating existing systems to ensure they remain secure and up to date
