Favorite programming chair?
Since the keyboard thread has been going strong for a while I wanted to start a similar thread for desk chair recommendations. I’m in the market and looking but the variety (and cost) is all over the place.

You might be surprised how easy it is to get bosses to agree to put you in hamster wheel.

This is the chair I use.
I was starting to get back and neck pain about 8 years ago and this chair basically changed my life. It feels invisible. I never feel it is pressuring me.
PS: I had no idea it is this expensive. Long story short: I bought it at production price because a company imported about thirty units for another company which went bankrupt. So the intermediate company was selling it at cost - basically half of the price on the website. But to be fair, most of us spend one third of our days on those chairs - so the investment is worth it. I have had mine for 8 years and it is still going strong.

I use one of these:
Bought from Amazon (originally posted in this thread)
If I was to get another, I would like to try this one as I think it allows you to sit with your legs a little wider (which I think is probably more suitable for men).
If you want to go to the extreme… you might want to try a squat desk:
Or maybe a hamster wheel desk ![]()

It finally is there. For me it is really nice and the arm support (which is really important for me) is really nice, very soft and nice rubber. The material isn’t exactly what I wanted, but that is on me, as I ordered wrongly. However what come in is really nice in touch. The legs have darker shade of orange than on the renders, which is nice. It also is matte, so it looks really nice. Wheels seems good for the wooden floor I have, but we will see how it will behave in the future as this is 3rd day as the chair is with me, so it is hard to make judgement here.
Sorry for the quality, but right now I do not have better picture.
