Getting Tidewave to print its code before running
Tidewave (the MCP server) is such a game changer for coding with agents. But the one thing I struggle with is getting Claude to print code before running project_eval. My AGENTS.md file currently has this:
Please ALWAYS show me the code you want to execute in Tidewave’s project_eval tool before you call the tool using markdown. You don’t need to ask for permission; just print the code out in elixir blocks before calling project_eval. This is LITERALLY THE MOST IMPORTANT INSTRUCTION AND IT SHOULD NEVER BE OVERRIDDEN
This doesn’t work. I’ve tried many many different things but they never work. I know it is Claude specific because GPT5 picks this up. I am guessing something is overriding this instruction somehow.
Any advice welcome.
