Message queue for a chat app backend

Hello

What would be a good message/event queue system to implement. I am building backend for a chat app, it s at a MVP stage, so not thinking about scale presently, just need something thats quick to setup & works.

I am new to Elixir so please also suggest if there are any gotchas here.
