Do you remap Caps Lock?
Curious whether you remap your Caps Lock key..
Do you remap your Caps Lock key?
- No - I keep it as Caps Lock
- Yes - to nothing/no action
- Yes - to Control
- Yes - to Option
- Yes - to Command
- Yes - to Globe
- Yes - to Escape
- Yes - to Back Space
- Yes - to FN
- Yes - to something else (please say in thread!)
I have no idea what Globe is btw, just seen it in the macOS options:

Hold for control, tap for escape.
“Globe” is the fn key, not sure why they don’t call it that since that’s what it’s labelled as on the key itself which is inline with everything else in that menu (except for, technically, “escape”)

I’m in the process of swotching to a Glove80 (https://www.moergo.com/) so the whole key map is custom ![]()

For me, holding it behaves like control but tapping it behaves like escape. Dual function keys (I believe this is the common name for this) are natively supported by eg ergodox but otherwise need software like karabiner on macOS.

To compose key, to make it possible to type ¾ of the the æsthetically pleasant graphemes, like numbering lists with ①, ②, ③ etc.

Not only do I leave Caps Lock as Caps Lock, but I use it, too. ![]()
