This is a long-term contract position with our consulting company, Xuku LLC, working exclusively with a seed-stage startup client. The product we’re developing has already secured significant enterprise clients, underscoring the importance and potential of this project. You’ll be deeply involved with the client’s product, but your direct relationship will be with our consulting company.

Job title: Senior Elixir Developer / Technical Lead
Job description: This long-term contract position involves actively developing and implementing new features for our client’s Phoenix/LiveView SaaS application, taking ownership of projects, collaborating on architectural decisions, establishing coding standards, mentoring team members, and contributing to infrastructure and DevOps tasks.
Salary range: Candidates are invited to specify their desired rate.
Qualifications or experience required:

  • Minimum 10 years of total professional experience
  • Strong, professional experience with Elixir and the Phoenix framework, particularly LiveView
  • Proven technical leadership experience, including roles as a tech lead for multiple teams
  • Extensive experience in developing and scaling large-scale SaaS applications
  • Excellent communication skills, especially in written form
  • Deep understanding of software development best practices
  • Familiarity with infrastructure management and DevOps practices
    What the successful job applicant will be working on: Developing and implementing features for a Phoenix/LiveView SaaS application, making architectural decisions, mentoring team members, and contributing to infrastructure and DevOps tasks.

Position on remote work
Remote job: Yes
Remote restrictions: Candidates located in the Americas or Western Europe are preferred
Remote leeway: The candidate’s working hours will need to overlap for several hours per day with the CTO, who is based in California
Any other notes about your position on remote work: This is a fully remote position with a globally distributed team, operating in a completely asynchronous work process.
