Honestly I hate everything that uses YAML as a scripting language… :018:

Still trying to force myself to devise (or discover) a GitHub CI workflow for cross-compiling a Rust project to 4 different OS/CPU combinations, and I actually wanted to do that like 2 months ago now. It’s just not intuitive and extremely quirky. To top things off, it annoys me so much that I am not even sure I want “to get used to it” (as is the classic advice for learning something that everybody knows is dysfunctional).

i’ve been using GitLab and GitHub both and it’s definitely about convenience and a free package. GL I like more, GH we just need in the current project.

what I don’t get is how hard it is to find a ready YAML. i mean I’ve built a few myself and can do it, but I’m not devops and need ideas. anyone got links?

I’ve been using gitlab for most of my projects. I like how easily it integrates with your custom hardware, installing and linking a fully custom runner is 10 minutes of work, the runner works in pull mode, so you don’t require any network configuration, just a internet connection.

Here are some simple configurations that I use on most of my projects, all of these stages are using docker executor.
