Technical Product Support (Elixir) - Turn.io, Remote (GMT+/-4 hours)

Introductory paragraph
At Turn.io our vision is to make effective human support accessible to vulnerable people everywhere. We are expanding our tech support team and we would love to have you join us!

As a member of our Technical Product Support team you will assist our customers in using our platform, including supporting them in writing code and API integrations. You will also help the product development team fix bugs and improve the experience of our Elixir application.

About us

My name: Federico
My position: Software Engineer
Company name: Turn.io
Company website: https://turn.io
Company headquarters: USA (team fully remote across the world)
Company info and history (how you’re using Elixir etc): Please check some of our ElixirConf talks, like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DugOUm9cka8

About the job

Job title: Technical Product Support
Job description: Turn.io's hiring: Technical Product Support (or keep reading down below)
Salary range: $3000-3500 monthly (contract)
Position on remote work: Fully remote (GMT+/-4 hours)

Qualifications or experience required: You have experience talking to customers and working in technical support. You have experience integrating with external APIs and know the basics of programming (Elixir preferred).

What the successful job applicant will be working on: Your day-to-day will mostly involve solving support tickets and collaborating with the broader team. Most of our customers are deeply technical so this won’t be a normal product support role as it will often require you to write/debug code.

About the interview process

  1. Introductory call with the team to introduce you to the role and get to know you better
  2. Tech challenge where we work together to solve a simulated technical support scenario, for example a client’s ticket about a malfunctioning API
